On November 8 at 11 AM, 25 kids from the Ironbound Boys and Girls Club in Newark will visit the newest Newark firehouse on Clinton Avenue to meet the firefighters featured in the first Newark New Jersey 2008 calendar.

Dedicated to Firefighter Reinaldo “Ray” Martinez, Jr. posthumously, all proceeds from the sale of the calendars (100%) will go directly towards purchasing new computers for the Ironbound Boys & Girls Club computer lab.

At the event, The Calendar boys will present the Club’s kids with two new computers for their lab as a ‘down payment.’ The body building firemen chose the Ironbound Club because of the “fine and underappreciated work they do for kids in the community and its connection to the Salvation Army.” Calendars may be purchased three ways: Call Capt. Danny Farrell of the Newark Fire Department, 973-733-7444, e-mail worknfire10@yahoo.com or stop by the Clinton Avenue Firehouse. Calendars are $15.00, tax free.

* Firefighters and Partyka will be available for interviews prior to and immediately following the event. To arrange an interview please contact Jackie Ngai at (201) 843-5600 or email jaclyn@rosica.com.
