To best serve our client-partners, Rosica PR is managed by a team of seasoned professionals with diverse and dynamic backgrounds. Every client is assigned a senior executive to direct and manage their business.

Chris Rosica, President and Chief Executive Officer

A hands-on president and CEO, Chris is passionate about entrepreneurship and helping businesses grow, adapt to change, outpace the competition, and improve internal and external communications.

Since joining the agency in 1998, he has added a dynamic dimension and style to the firm. Chris is a popular keynote speaker and lecturer on social media, online reputation management and media relations. Chris is a skilled public speaking coach who teaches CEOs, salespeople, corporate and nonprofit executives how to effectively communicate their messages. He authored The Authentic Brand (www.authenticbrand.com), which details the process and effects of incorporating cause marketing into a company’s business and promotional agenda. His forthcoming book, The Cause Marketing Handbook (www.causemarketingbook.com) details the process and the results of successfully incorporating cause marketing into a company’s business strategy.

Chris is past president of the New York chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization (YEO) and currently serves on the statewide board of Salvation Army in New Jersey, as well as the state board of Boys & Girls Clubs. In 2008, he was named volunteer of the year in the Boys & Girls Club organization. Chris is a graduate of Johnson & Wales and Florida International Universities.

Kathy Carliner, Senior Vice President, Consumer Marketing Division

Kathy brings 25 years of brand building, consumer and corporate marketing communications expertise to her role at Rosica. Kathy has helped Fortune 500 and start-up companies alike establish and maintain positive reputations and further their business goals through strategic marketing communications and publicity campaigns. Her work within the consumer health, food and beverage, fashion and beauty, and packaged goods industries has earned industry awards and set standards for effective public relations programming and implementation.

Kathy is a sought-after media trainer and coach who has helped hundreds of CEOs, celebrities, authors, physicians and executives communicate effectively with the press and other key audiences. She has lectured on branding and taught business writing and communications courses at the college level. A dynamic speaker, Kathy was invited by President and Mrs. Clinton to develop and deliver a speech at the national White House Conference on Childcare (1997). She earned her B.A. from Williams College.

Kathryn Kempf, Senior Vice President, Healthcare Division

A senior counselor, Kathryn supports clients in achieving their business goals through effective corporate communications programs that are well planned and flawlessly executed. Her ability to bring focus, prioritize and provide direction to complex projects has made her a valued and trusted “thinking partner” for both corporate and nonprofit clients.  Kathryn provides expert counsel on communications strategy and manages a team that develops and implements employee engagement initiatives, corporate social responsibility and philanthropy programs, partnerships with other organizations and media relations campaigns.  

Kathryn has two decades of experience working across a wide range of industries but most extensively in the healthcare and nonprofit arenas.  A graduate of Mount Holyoke College, she has been recognized by both her local and professional community for outstanding contributions, including the Liz Hoover Award, the top volunteer honor of New York Women in Communications.

Ryan Smith, Vice President of Media Relations

To his role as VP of Media Relations, Ryan brings a wealth of experience in creating and implementing effective publicity programs that resonate with a range of audiences. He has cultivated and maintained relationships with national media throughout North America and knows what journalists need to develop compelling stories. Working on behalf of clients at several public relations firms during his career, Ryan has formed relationships with programs including “Today,” “The View,” “Good Morning America,” “Ellen,” “Live with Regis & Kelly,” “CNN American Morning,” “Entertainment Tonight,” and others. With a thorough understanding of how media operate, Ryan counsels clients on ways to convey their messages that will generate media coverage. He oversees a team of media specialists and guides them in developing thought-provoking pitches to deliver clients’ key messages to the public.

Ryan’s expertise extends to strategic planning particularly in regard to events designed to garner media attention that have mass market appeal. He has been responsible for coordinating coverage and preparing media material for events involving The Wiggles, Tourism Australia, Six Flags, President Jimmy Carter and the Presidential Easter Egg Roll.

Early in his career Ryan worked as a radio broadcaster and provided voice overs for various radio and television programs. He is a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas College, Sparkill, NY, where he earned a BA in Communication Arts.
