PR Case Study - Non-Profit - Horatio Alger Association
National Survey and Press Conference Delivers
Over 300 Million Media Impressions
For eight consecutive years, Rosica organized and executed an annual
news conference for the Horatio Alger Association to announce their
national youth survey. We conducted the event at the National Press
Club and arranged for a satellite feed to reach as many media outlets
as possible. Our event featured young adults who had won Horatio
Alger scholarships, educators, and the survey’s author. We
rehearsed all participants, scripted the one-hour broadcast/media
event, and coordinated the event on-site. Our efforts produced unprecedented
national newspaper, radio and television interviews, including a
Parade Magazine cover story, appearances on Good Morning America
and CBS TV This Morning, plus numerous national radio interviews.
Additional coverage included C-SPAN, CNN, NBC-TV, USA Today, Associated
Press, Washington Post and Reuters News Service, plus students’
local daily newspapers and television stations. This campaign won
the Rosica agency a PRSA Pyramid Award.
