A Weight Loss System That Needed to Gain
Weight Watchers in New Jersey wanted to stand out among its competitors
and draw attention to its long history of helping people lose weight.
Through a strategic PR program, Rosica increased their customer
base in the state and enhanced awareness for the brand. One event
we created was the “Battle of the Badges,” a weight
loss contest between fire and police departments in various cities.
During the campaign, we garnered over 300 feature newspaper and
magazine stories in Philadelphia, New York and New Jersey, plus
dozens of local and national television and radio news interviews.
Another event we developed for the company’s 25th anniversary
was the Time Capsule Burial, which included messages from kids and
local dignitaries that voiced their hopes and dreams for the next
25 years, plus memorabilia from the media (providing a built-in
media component) and buried the capsule on the company grounds.
We also created a speaker’s bureau for the company’s
founder/spokesperson and coordinated all of Weight Watchers special
events and fundraising galas.
