Pfister Energy Management and Engineering Teams Adjust To Changing Renewable Energy Market

Pfister Energy Inc., a leading renewable energy company, has announced the appointment of Andrew Nekus as vice president of business development and engineering, and Robert Vessie as vice president of operations.  In addition, Pfister Senior Engineer Satish Chennaboina has been certified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) as an installer of solar electric systems, a leading recognition in the renewable energy industry.

“These new developments will help expand our national footprint, increase renewable and clean energy capabilities and streamline business functions,” said Wayne Pfisterer, president of Pfister Energy.

As Vice President of Business Development and Engineering, Andrew Nekus will direct Pfister’s strategic sales and marketing activities and serve as the principal liaison for the company’s key technology providers.  Nekus has led business teams in a variety of renewable energy environments including utility-scale photovoltaic (PV), combined heat and power (CHP) and biomass.  Prior to joining Pfister Energy, Nekus worked with SunDurance Energy, First Solar PSEG Global and United American Energy. He holds a Masters Certificate in Power Generation from Stevens Institute and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.

In response to increased energy reliance, evolving energy markets and the company’s expansion across the country, Robert Vessie has assumed a new role as VP of operations. Vessie will streamline business development, purchasing, project management, and operations and maintenance (O&M), ensuring that project are executed on and on budget.  Vessie’s experience with technology evaluation, regulatory compliance and permitting will increase Pfister’s efficiencies with clients and partners, including universities and federal and government agencies.

The NABCEP certification of senior engineer Satish Chennaboina expands the expertise, capabilities and authority of Pfister’s workforce from an installation perspective. The certification is a significant designation within the renewable energy industry indicating real-world experience, consumer safety and a high level of diverse background and education. As Pfister Energy enters new markets the certification allows for installer mobility and a verifiable means of distinguishing their work in the industry.

“We are constantly charting new ground in a highly challenging industry, and it’s critical that we have the talent and the specific engineering and project management to create effective client and partner solutions – some of which have never been done before,” added Pfisterer. “Bringing Andrew on board, empowering Rob in his new role and fostering Satish’s outstanding accomplishment help us expand our offerings beyond just the cookie cutter solutions, which is a real plus for our clients and partners.”

Earlier this year, Pfister Energy was named to Inc. magazine’s list of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies for a fourth consecutive year, the only New Jersey-based energy company to do so.  By continuing to expand nationally, bolster its team and elevate installation expertise, Pfister Energy continues to grow amidst a challenging energy market. Pfister Energy has operations in Florida, Maryland and New Hampshire. The company is a leader in its integration of “stacking” technologies, which encompass solar thermal, fuel cells, geothermal and natural daylighting.  Pfister Energy combines these and other technologies to create customized solutions to meet client-specific needs.
