Vineland Girl to Sing at “Concert for Kids”

12-year-old will Share Stage with The Temptations and The Four Tops

On October 17, 2007 at 7:30 p.m., Ali Munoz of Vineland, NJ will join the famous headliners at the annual Concert for Kids to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs’ Fund-A-Dream program that supports the dreams of kids who have little or no means of fulfilling them. Held at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, kids from across the state will be able to perform on the same stage as the famous Temptations and The Four Tops.

Ali has been a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Vineland for two years. She is an 8th grader at the Rossi School and has maintained honor roll status every year. She has been singing for the last five years and has won various singing competitions, including being named first runner up in a talent competition of 146 girls. She is the official National Anthem performer for the Miracle League of New Jersey and has performed at various places in her community. Her goal in life is to become a professional singer/performer and has already recorded three demo CDs and is in the process of recording her fourth. Ali is truly a star in the making!

Through the Fund-A-Dream initiative, Boys & Girls Clubs are able to cultivate and support a special talent or interest and in so doing, encourage a young person to aim higher than they previously thought possible. Clubs identify youngsters’ dreams and, in addition to providing emotional support and encouragement, they provide what is often the last barrier—financial assistance. The funds raised from the annual Concert for Kids are distributed to each local Boys & Girls Club in New Jersey to support the Fund-A-Dream program.

Thousands of supporters are expected to attend the fourth annual “Concert for Kids” presented by Richmond County Savings Foundation on October 17th at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. Sponsorships are available from $1,000 – $25,000. Individual tickets are $500 and include a reception and the show. The reception starts at 5 p.m.; Show begins at 7:30 p.m. For more information on the Concert for Kids, visit www.bgcnj.org or call 908-781-8418.
