Every October, Gilda’s Club Northern New Jersey recognizes National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with lectures by breast health experts from local hospitals and a National Mammography Day event.
Please join us on Friday, October 19th from 11a.m. – 2p.m. for our National Mammography Day event – a day to learn about the importance of Mammograms and early detection. There will be a Breast Cancer Resource Fair featuring the latest information about breast cancer treatment, services, and organizations. Dr. Michael Wesson, a Radiation Oncologist and Dr. Lauren Levy a Radiologist both from Valley Hospital will speak on the latest treatments and diagnostic tools. A lymphedema specialist will also present information for those with breast cancer. A free luncheon donated by Hackensack Radiology Group/ New Century Imaging will be served. A beautiful, one-of-a-kind Breast Cancer Quilt, created by several Gilda’s Club members, will be raffled off. Tickets are $10 and are available at the clubhouse until 1:00p.m on October 19.
