Boxing Legends, Mayor and Kids Kick-Off Grand Opening of State-of-the-Art Community Center

The Club House to feature Boxing Ring, Recording Studio, Computer Training & Graphics Design and Dance & Exercise Studio

WHAT: The Grand Opening of the Club House to include:

— Kids Learning and Participating in Boxing/Self-Defense Instruction, Computer Graphic Design Training, Dance Lessons and Recording Music

— Boxers Larry Holmes and Joe Frazier in the Club House official boxing ring

— Martial arts demonstration with a black belt and dozens of “karate kids”

— Mayor Booker on a Man Lift, Breaking a Bottle of Bubbly to officially “Launch” the Club House

On Thursday, June 21, Mayor Cory A. Booker, boxing greats and local dignitaries will unveil a state-of-the art fitness, technology and arts center in Newark’s Central Ward with kids participating in the diverse activities the Club House has to offer. The Club House is an innovative athletic and creative arts complex developed by Roizman Development Inc., Centerline Capital Group, and the Newark Housing Authority.
