Keith Mirchandani, CEO of Fairfield, NJ-based TriStar Products, Inc., will be honored by the Boy Scouts of America at its 100th Anniversary celebration. Mirchandani personifies the character and leadership qualities espoused by the scouting organization. The celebration will be held May 12, 2010, at the Ellis Island Immigration Museum in New York Harbor.
Mirchandani’s ability to transform innovative ideas into worldwide brands has made him a respected industry leader and visionary. In 1992, Mirchandani launched Tristar Products as a pioneer in the Direct Response business and led the company to become a global powerhouse. His creative thinking and passion for nurturing inventors drives the product development, brand building and strategic partnerships of his company.
”The well-known traits associated with Boy Scouts—being trustworthy, helpful and courteous, to name just a few—are essential in a business such as mine that hinges on responsibly delivering on promises to customers,” Mirchandani said. “Scouts set a high standard and their activities serve as positive examples for today’s youth. They strive to be exemplary individuals who live by a timeless creed that will be as relevant 100 years from now as it is today and was 100 years ago.”
Mirchandani expressed gratitude for being included in the 100th anniversary celebration and said he salutes “the Boy Scouts of America for being such a powerful force for good.”
The centennial anniversary represents an important milestone for the Boy Scouts and provides an opportunity to reinforce the important role scouting continues to have in shaping business leaders. Besides Mirchandani, other honorees include: Frank D’Amelio, senior vice president and CFO, Pfizer Inc.; Larry Kellner, former chairman and CEO, Continental Airlines; David Marriott, senior vice president, Marriott International; Ray Rodriguez, president and CEO, Univision Communications, Inc.; Ingrid Saunders Jones, chair, The Coca-Cola Foundation; Thomas Vollers, Vollers Excavating and Construction, Inc.; and, Brett D.
