Rosica Communications is a finalist in the Media Relations category of Ragan’s 2026 Zenith Awards for “Career Readiness for Brighter Futures,” its national earned media program for Britebound, a national education nonprofit that helps middle and high school students explore career options for brighter futures. Presented by Ragan Communications, the Zenith Awards recognize outstanding communications, public relations, and marketing work.
For Britebound, formerly American Student Assistance, Rosica built a national media relations effort around the nonprofit’s original research, educational materials, and leadership expertise. The campaign introduced journalists to data and expert perspectives on career readiness, skilled trades, alternatives to traditional four-year college pathways, and early career exploration. Rosica also established connections between Britebound leaders and reporters covering education, Gen Z, workforce issues, and the transition from school to careers.
During the 12-month period, Rosica generated 3.6 billion media impressions for Breitebound, a 28.5% increase from the prior year (2.8 billion impressions). Coverage consisted of 160 earned media placements, including 90 national stories. Of these earned media placements, 60 appeared in premier national business and mass media outlets and 30 in national education and HR trade publications. Rosica’s media relations work yielded feature coverage in Fortune, Newsweek, USA Today, TIME, CNBC, Fast Company, SHRM, The 74, The Chronicle of Higher Education, and many others.
Britebound’s proprietary data gave Rosica opportunities to develop media angles tied to issues affecting students, families, educators, and employers. Outreach addressed Gen Z’s interest in trade schools, parents’ views of skilled trades, shifts in college enrollment, well-paying occupations that do not require bachelor’s degrees, and the advantages of introducing career exploration before students reach high school. Rosica simultaneously expanded the profile of Britebound’s leadership. Former President and CEO Jean Eddy participated in dozens of prominent media interviews, while publicity efforts also generated awareness of her book, Crisis-Proofing Today’s Learners. Rosica further expanded Eddy’s thought leadership by securing an unpaid Forbes contributor role, through which she authored two articles each month in 2025. After Eddy retired, Rosica secured a Forbes contributor opportunity for current Britebound CEO Julie Lammers.
In the news release that just ran on PR Web, agency CEO & President, Chris Rosica, stated, “We are re proud to support Britebound’s work because young people deserve to understand all the options available to them after high school. It is rewarding to help bring national attention to an issue that can have a real impact on their futures.”
The Zenith Awards finalist designation follows Rosica’s 2026 Mercury Excellence Award for its work with Britebound, providing additional recognition of the program’s measurable performance. The results demonstrate how a disciplined nonprofit PR and thought leadership program can support thought leadership, awareness, advocacy, stakeholder engagement, reputation, credibility, and digital discoverability (SEO and GEO) by strategically leveraging proprietary research, the expertise of subject matter experts, timely/topical storytelling, and tenacious media outreach.
