Transforming Education in Newark
A powerful education foundation, Newark Trust for Education, is changing conditions for learning by engaging institutions, communities, parents, and students to improve education outcomes in historic New Jersey city. The organization engaged Rosica Communications to elevate visibility through a thought leadership campaign targeting education trade publications and media in the greater Metro New York market. The strategy revolves around pitching relevant, timely story platforms for its Executive Director, Ronald Chaluisán, an expert in socio-emotional learning, equity, safe and supportive learning environments, the importance of early childhood learning, and other timely topics shaping education today. We also recently publicized the leading role the Trust took in driving voters to participate in the landmark Newark School Board Election – the first since the state took over control of the public schools 25 years ago.
