Strengthening Internal and External Communications for Newark’s Public Safety Initiatives

The City of Newark engaged Rosica Communications to support and elevate its internal and external communications efforts for the Newark Department of Public Safety, encompassing police, fire, and other first responders.

Rosica served as a strategic communications partner, providing counsel to department leadership and executing a comprehensive range of services designed to enhance transparency, strengthen internal communications, and build public trust.

Our team developed messaging frameworks, conducted in-depth interviews with long-serving employees and high-ranking officers, directed photo and video shoots, and created a wide array of print and digital materials to support both internal initiatives and public-facing campaigns. In addition to message development, Rosica provided graphic design services, helping to modernize and professionalize Newark’s public safety marketing efforts. Through our collaboration, the Department of Public Safety was able to better align internal stakeholders, project a unified voice externally, and reinforce the city’s commitment to public service and community engagement.
